my first race
today completed my first ever running race. it was five miles through central park. i finished much faster than i expected but i would still like to be faster. i finished at 47:44. 2297th place over all, 828th among the females, and 273rd in my age group. needless to say, i definitely didn't win the cash prize! i liked running the race much more than i expected so i think i will do another one before the half marathon. i think i could get into this, i just need to like/tolerate the training

I am so proud of you!! Way to go! Now if I could just find some motivation to work out we would be all set. Hang with it girl, you are doing great!!!
awesome job! when we were there visiting betsy a few weeks back both dan and i commented on how cool it would be to run a race thru central park. good luck with the 1/2, i did my first one in december and it was an awesome feeling to say that i finished!! good luck!
