oscar de la hoya

i don't think i have ever mentioned it but oscar has some messed up nails. he has a funny walk in which he drags his feet. i guess the best way to describe it would be like a swimmer, swimming freestyle, doing fingertip drag. (sorry for the swimming reference, i couldn't resist!) as you can imagine, this is somewhat problematic. because of this he has worn a nail down on each front foot and when we go on walks they tend to break open and bleed. i have tried everything from liquid band-aid to carrying quick stop around with me everywhere to actually carrying him half way through the walk which completely defeats the purpose of a walk. well, the other day i saw these booties that were like balloons. they are red and it looks like he is walking around with boxing gloves on. i suppose you could call him oscar de la hoya now!!



he's still a cutie!!
