25 random facts about me

so this 25 random fact thing was going around facebook. i don't know why i decided it was a good idea but i did it. what are some random facts about you?

25 Random Facts about me...

1. I was a swimmer for 15 years. Following a black line for that long can make you go slightly crazy.

2. Even though I swam for 15 years, I will not go in any body of water that is not a pool. You don’t know what is swimming under you!

3. I won’t eat chicken that I don’t make. Nothing grosses me out more than biting into a piece of gristle.

4. I have a mean “mom dance.” I created it in college from listening to Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Glory Days.’

5. I love the band Chicago. I have gone to about 4 concerts. I may be one of the youngest people in the crowd but I think they are so fun. It is quite entertaining to see intoxicated parents. I get many “mom dance” moves from these!

6. My brother and I developed a flying car that operated solely on air. We made a spec binder and everything. Oddly enough nothing ever came of it!

7. When I was little I told off my mom’s boss on the phone because I though he was my dad.

8. I am scared to look out windows at night. When I was little my dad jumped up and frightened me and I have been scarred ever since.

9. I almost turned down the job at CNN. I don’t know what I was thinking. I was having a major brain fart.

10. When I moved to NYC, I hated it for about 6 months. But it turned out to be the best decision of my life so far.

11. In reference to #10, it is a goal of mine to make it in NYC at least 5 years. Only 3 and ½ more to go!

12. I like long walks on the beach and candle lit dinners.

13. The two worst decisions were the best I have made, Oscar and Penni. They both bring so much joy to my life.

14. When I was little, like Tara Kelly, I thought I was psychic. Little did I know my parents were just playing along.

15. I played water polo in high school. I defended a girl that later went on to play in the Olympics.

16. I write on a blog at least two to three times a week. It is mainly for my grandma’s enjoyment. If I don’t post she scolds me in her daily emails.

17. I am one of the most uncoordinated people on land. I seem to find away to trip and make a scene when I am getting up from my desk. Just ask my cubical neighbors!

18. I think it would be so cool to be on the Amazing Race with my dad. I don’t think we would fight too much. The stumbling block for me would be that I would have to drive a car that is stick shift, hence #17.

19. If I could spend the day with one famous person I think I would pick Brett Farve!

20. I have never left the country, unless you count Canada. I really need to work on that, it is pathetic.

21. I cheat at Solitaire. I get so frustrated that I usually just start putting cards where I want them to go.

22. I used to want to be a fighter pilot when I was little. I though I would be able to fly any where I wanted and land in my back yard.

23. I adore my family. They are the biggest support system in my life.

24. I have the best brother I could ask for. He would do anything for me and I would do anything for him. I love that he picked the perfect girl to join our family.

25. I am so proud of my parents. It is so inspiring to see them live out their goals that they have worked so hard for.
