thanksgiving in nyc -- day 3

today was full of random activities. we headed out a little late cause we were up late playing dominoes after going to see james bond. i don't want to brag but i kicked butt in dominoes! anywho, we started the day off standing in line at tkts to get tickets to a show. i'll tell you what we ended up going to see a little later on in the post.

so, after that we made our way to chelsea because my dad wanted see the new apple store that opened up in the meat packing district. the apple store was pretty much the extent of our black friday shopping and that was enough for me. it was little crazy in there. since the chelsea market is next door we ducked in there for a quick run through. of course we had to go to eleni's for cookies and cupcakes. yummy! a few random pictures for my uncle brett. (you really should come and see it in all its glory.)







on our way back we took a walk around my neighborhood before going back to my apartment. we went past two of the local firehouses. the first one we went by was build in 1908. this one is pretty cool but the second one is my favorite.





ok...time for the show. we got tickets to the cirque du soleil show, wintuk. we actually got pretty good seats considering we bought them the day of. the main story line is a boy trying to find snow. it really was the perfect show for the time of the year. the show itself was amazing. there really aren't words to describe how unbelievable the performance was. i was on the edge of my seat the whole time. fortunately for you i was able to sneak two pictures in. they aren't much but they will give you an idea of the venue and stage.

the whole story came together and luckily the boy found snow. in fact they made it snow in the theater. it was so cool!
