happy thanksgiving!

we did the usual thanksgiving routine today. we got up watched the parade, lounged, and ate a lot! it was wonderful. since we went and saw the balloons last night we decided to lay low and watch the parade from my humble abode. it was fun to see the balloons that we saw being blown up. my mom kept saying, "oh, we saw that!" oscar has also taken a liking to my dad. they are best friends now. they were hanging out all day on the couch.

my day however was focused on cooking. i can proudly say that i cooked my very first thanksgiving meal. the only thing that i did not make was the turkey, that was courtesy of the fine people at the honey baked store. look at this spread...

i even made pumpkin pie and banana bread. but this time when i made the banana bread i made sure to cut back on the salt. i think they both turned out perfect.

check back for tomorrows adventures.
