i went home for the 4th of july. it was definitely a needed escape from the city. besides the flight in, the weather was perfect. i was able to enjoy the lake to it's fullest capacity!
my aunt donna, uncle brett, brad, and my grandma came up. brett brought his fryer up so we had a fish fry. my dad caught a bunch a fish when he was down in the keys so we fried it all up. on top of the fish, brett made his amazing french fries. yummy!
after the fish fry and a night time boat right, we had a bonfire on the water. it was so fun. we were all sharing stories from when we were kids. there sure were some funny ones! so many forgotten memories brought back to life. i think grandma's story took the cake though. none of ours compared to hers! i won't tell it so you will have to ask her about it when you see her, it isn't for all ages!
i think the best way to end the night is with family, fun stories and gooey s'mores!
