the 4th

we really just laid around and enjoyed the 4th of july. took some boat rides, attempted to swim at the dam, and ate a lot of food. what could be better?!

o-man definitely enjoyed the day too. he just loves laying out in the sun and playing in the yard. i think at this point he was tuckered out!



the best thing about the 4th of july are the fireworks. everyone on the lake has their own show. right around 9 o'clock we got on the boat and went for a ride. before the fireworks we got to watch an amazing sun set.



every year a family on the lake goes all out with the fireworks. their display is usually better than the main ones. all of the people on the lake congregate on their boats in front of their house to watch the big show. this year however there were other families giving them a run for their money. at one point there were 5 different firework shows going on around us. every one of them were so exciting, i didn't know which one to watch.
