heroes

on thursday i worked yet another even for work. it was called cnn heroes. it was an event to honor everyday heroes and how they are making our world a better place. there were six categories and each had a winner. there then was a seventh category called "the heroes hero" which honored the christopher reeve foundation. it was a very inspiring and spectacular event. it was held at the museum of natural history. the party part of it was in the ocean life room where a gargantuan blue whale hangs from the ceiling (there is a picture of it in an earlier post). my duty at the event was to be a runner. so what that entailed was standing outside and freezing my bum off. the extremely cool thing about this job was that i got to see everyone who attended the event, and yes there were celebrities! who were they you ask, well i will tell you. mary j blige, sheryl crow, tyra banks, glenn close, jimmy smits, rosario dawson, harry connick jr, and wyclef jean. a highlight for me though was that i got to walk with campbell brown. she is really nice. unfortunately i did not get any pictures of them but they were there! i did get one picture but it didn't turn out so good but i will share it anyways. this is showing the live taping of showbiz tonight that they were doing on the red carpet. also, the link below tells all about the heroes if you are interested.
