happy thanksgiving!!

so i am finally home. it is so great! since i am not going to be in the city during the parade i thought i would post a pre-parade picture. so this is from the 10th floor of my building which is the cafeteria. i think it is the prettiest view in nyc. below is columbus circle. you can see that they are setting up bleachers and tents. they started setting up all of this last week thursday. it is amazing to see all the preparation that goes into this production.



next year i am going to try to go the night before and see them setting up the balloons on the upper west side. i hear that it is spectacular and it has become a tradition for many people. this is another picture, not of pre-parade stuff, but i just thought this was cool. this is from my floor at work which is the 21st. since it is getting darker now the sun is setting while i am still at work. this sun set was particularly gorgeous so i thought i would capture it. you can barely see it but below is the hudson river which i will be swimming in for the triathlon. eek!
