catch up

i know i was mia for a bit, so sorry about that. i will do better. to make up for it, i was going through some of the pictures that i have taken over the past few month and i thought i would share some with you.

first, just a few snap shots after a snow storm in february. i was able to get some pictures right as the sun was setting.





next, is my first attempt at a double layer round cake. it was a vanilla cake, with raspberry filling, and lemon buttercream frosting. i made it for easter, so it was a bit festive. it was a success and very delicious.



oscar wasn't to happy with me while i was making the cake because i wouldn't cuddle with him(he takes after his sister). so he went to the next best thing and cuddled up with his toy. now, i know what you are going to say, "he has so many toys!" and i totally agree with you. he is like a little kid and strews them about the apartment. it is a bit annoying but whatever keeps him occupied.



this year i carved my first pumpkin since moving to the city. i mainly did it because i really wanted roasted pumpkin seeds. i thought the pumpkin turned out great but i did manage to break one tooth off. it added a bit of character with it slightly hanging off. unfortunately, the pumpkin seeds did not turn out. they were more burnt than roasted.



lastly, just a cute picture of oscar. he refused to get out of bed. what a bum.
