i couldn't believe how much snow we had gotten. i was wondering what all the fuss was about since i had two flights cancelled one me when i was trying to get home. then i saw the amount of snow that we managed to get in a matter of days. it was A LOT! the chairs out on our deck were almost covered.
unfortunately a few days after the snow started, it started to rain. my dad snapped this picture of justin out on the lake testing the ice with his new camera. i just love the picture so i had to share it.
as i said two posts ago, oscar and penni got along great. and of course as i have said before both dogs are crazy about my dad. just one of the many pictures that i have of my dad and the dogs. he was enjoying every moment! oh and dad, thanks for supporting cnn!
and oscar loved all of the toys that penni had to share. he is like a little kid.
i don't know if i shared this but i had two fights cancelled on my attempted to get back to nyc. the upside to having my flights cancelled, besides getting to stay another week, was that i got to be there for the schrock christmas. my uncle brett made fried turkey. it was amazing just like everything he makes!!
since i got to stay home another week i was able to celebrate new years with my friends in gr. it was so much fun. downtown gr they had a ball dropping ceremony just like in nyc. it wasn't on the same scale as nyc but it still was pretty sweet! i couldn't believe how many people came to see it drop.
it was a great trip home. it was a much needed escape from the city!
