the met

it was a crazy weekend. even though i didn't really do much i was in charge of 3 dogs! jay and k took a trip down to costa rica and i was nice enough to offer my time. it definitely was a bigger undertaking than i thought. the dog for the most part got along great. everyday they got better and better together. by the end of the party they were all snuggling together.



i did manage to find some time for myself. on sunday i went to the MET with claire and megan from work. we thought it was going to be a nasty day but it turned out to be perfect. we first met up for brunch on the upper east side at a resturant called "the barking dog." after that we slowly made our way over to the MET which on the edge of central park.



there were some great exhibits. two of my favorites were tara donovan and damien hirst. tara donovan's exhibit took up a whole room with tin circles lining the walls in really cool layout. damien hurst's was crazy. he had an 8 foot tiger shark in a formaldehyde tank. it was a sight to see.



another cool exhibit was jeff koones, "on the roof". this specific picture is a HUGE balloon animal. it was neat!



it was actually on the roof of the MET. also, since the MET is right on the edge of central park there were some great views. i loved seeing the contrast of the lush trees and the old architecture.



there were definitely other aspects to the museum that were interesting. like seeing picasso, gustave courbet...

also, on a side note i would like to voice my displeasure of no longer receiving daily emails from my grandmother. i know she is a big girl, but i do worry. those were such a bright spot in my day!
