i am trying harder

i realize that i have been doing a terrible job at keeping my blog updated so i am going to try harder to stay on top of it.

there is a new park in my neck of the woods, brooklyn bridge park. they are converting the old piers on the water to different themed parks. the first one that they completed by me has a few different playgrounds and a dog park so far. since i don't have children to enjoy the park with i have been frequenting the dog park quite often and it is soooo nice.

i'd like to know why oscar likes to chew on some old, ratty, broken tennis ball that was abandoned at the park when i bring a perfectly nice new one!

he made a few friends at the park this morning, a puggle and another frenchie. how appropriate! unfortunately oscar and the other frenchie didn't get along so well and got in a bit of a tiff. they had to be broken up. not cool.

after the romp with the dogs we took a walk around the rest of the park. they have landscaped it so nicely. it really breaks up the monotony of cement here. the black eyed susan's were so pretty, i couldn't resist.

this is the entrance to the park. this is how you get to the different playgrounds like slide mountain, swing valley, and boulder mountain. there benches lining the edges of the park which are helpful when the little guy is tuckered out and needs a rest.

my favorite part of the park is the spray park for all the kiddies. i felt like a creep taking a picture of the playground but it is too cool to pass up. i know if i was a parent i would be right in there with my kids!
