happy easter

it was such a beautiful weekend. on saturday i took advantage and walked around the city. i started off in soho shopping. that, as always, was fun. then i made my way up to union square. it was the most unusual thing i have seen in a while. there was a huge pillow fight going on. there were feathers floating everywhere. by the time i made my way out of there i looked like a bird. i had feathers all over me!

one thing that i love about the city once it starts getting warm is all of the markets. as i was walking i came along a flower market. it was so cool. it was like a sea of flowers and all of them so beautiful and perfect. if i had been going home right then i would have bought a pot. also the whole space factor is an issue. i'm not sure i would have had a place to put a big hydrangea.

sunday was gorgeous too. i attempted to take o-man for a walk. we spent 20 minutes on one block. he just gets so interested in everything on the ground. then he likes to sit and look at everything. another big factor is all of the people. i don't know why people think it is ok to pick my dog up. it is one thing to pet him and say him and say hi but it is completely different to pick him up. just leave your hands off my dog!

all in all it was a great easter weekend. jay made easter dinner and it was fabulous. i made a pumpkin pie and managed to burn the top of my hand in the process.
